History

A history of success in many industries means we won't miss the mark when delivering a client's message. And clients won't miss the learning curve that can come with new agency relationships. The Simons Group was created in 1981 with the mission of providing high-quality writing to firms which wanted to communicate with a specific audience. We pioneered the concept of corporate journalism, using the techniques of good reporting, such as in-depth interviews and concise writing, to achieve corporate goals.

When desktop publishing became available in the mid-1980s, The Simons Group was one of the first Chicago companies to invest in it. With this new technology, we saw a way to improve our service, lower production costs, reduce turnaround time and retain creative control.

We remain committed to investing in technology when that technology is cost-effective and will benefit our clients. Today, of course, that means the Web.

As The Simons Group continues to grow, so does our client base. Today we are proud to work with some of the nation's largest companies as measured by revenues, number of employees or position in their industries. While most work is completed at our Chicago location, we also maintain relationships with freelancers around the world to meet specific clients' needs.
